my poor little monkey woke up way too early and in a bad way yesterday. he was inconsolable immediately when he woke up, which is so unusual for him. i put him in bed next to me to try and get a few more winks, and once he settled down, he threw up next to my pillow. i decided that we were going to stay home and made him a soft nest in the living room where we spent all day lounging, puking, changing clothes, switching blankets, cleaning, playing, reading, and watching yo gabba gabba and sesame street. other than seeing my little guy so miserable (and having to clean up so much vomit) , it was actually kind of nice getting to spend all day with him and he was unusually snuggly. by the afternoon he was keeping down clear stuff, and before bedtime he even had some banana and cheerios. he slept very soundly all night (9pm to 9am) and was cheerful and happy to go to school. kids are so resilient!
