bridging the gap

as usual, it's been a busy couple of weeks and i have yet to blog about any of it. instead i have been looking at my pictures of the hot metal bridge (well, at least the ones that i have actually tagged). i don't know what got me to thinking about that particular bridge. maybe it's the fact that i see it every day and that i've been across it many times. actually i've been kind of fascinated by bridges in general lately. they often have a beautiful symmetry that i find attractive, and the sheer mass of them is so impressive. here are a few of my shots of the hot metal bridge:
