before i do my full fledged blog, here is a short video of erik that i took last night. we got this monkey backpack/boy leash a couple of months ago. i thought we'd be able to use it to keep erik from running off in crowded places, but instead he reacts much like a cat when you put a leash on it - he flops down on the ground and refuses to move! since then, it has been sitting on the shelf in the living room, and periodically erik will carry it over to peter or me and say "monkey on!" so we will oblige and strap the monkey on. he'll run around for a bit them come back over and say "monkey off!" and we'll take the monkey off. last night he wanted the monkey on, but was wiggling around too much, so peter strapped it to his front. he loves his monkey more than we knew and shared some passionate smooches with it!
